Temple Time

Having been the capitol of Japan from 710 - 784, there is no shortage of historical sites in Nara. The temples and ruins located here collectively form the "Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara", a UNESCO World Heritage site.  These monuments make for some great cycling destinations on days when one wants to just cruise around.
