A visit to the house of Irie Taikichi

Some of the most published and well known photos of Nara come from the famed local Nara photographer Irie Taikichi. There is even a photography museum in Nara which is named after him and is devoted to exhibiting his past works. Having been there several times, I decided this past weekend to visit his former residence. It is a beautiful house which is located very close to Todaiji. I was fortunate to have a guided tour which made the visit much more interesting.
