Rainy autumn day at Yoshiki-en 吉城園
Yoshiki-en 吉城園 is a small garden located next to Todaij in Nara park. I have ridden by there several times always wanting to see it, so this time I decided to stop and
actually go in. The nice thing is that the entry fee is waived for foreign tourists, so if you are coming from out of the
country its free to get in.The site itself was once the location of the residence for Tōdai-ji’s high priest. During the Meiji era
it became property of Nara prefecture and was transformed into a garden around 1918. It is a beautiful garden and definitely worth a
visit, especially in autumn!
