Karo / Coffee in Osaka
This past weekend I
hooked up with KCDC to head down to the OSGP Jam that was taking place in
Sakai. After “Rinko stylin” it
into Tennoji station in Osaka, we started cruzin south towards Sakai, loosely
aware of how to get to our destination. The trouble however with riding through
Osaka, or anywhere here for that matter, is that there are too many interesting
places that you will want to stop at along the way, making it difficult to get
to your original destination in good time.
This past weekend was no
exception as we rode along new roads and discovered different areas of Osaka.
One of those places was a small coffee shop tucked away
under the JR line called Karo. The café is
located directly under the train tracks in what used to be a storage house that dates back roughly 80 years. The place definitely had a distinct “Showa” vibe as there
were many antiques from years past all around. Besides the cool
ambiance, the coffee was good as well. Although they only specialize in pour
over coffee, it was strong enough and very tasty. I will definitely be
making a trip back here!
We found it under the tracks here in the Sumiyoshi ward of Osaka
Fueled up and ready to roll
